Don't Ask, Don't Tell

President Obama is trying harder to get "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" approved so openly gay recruits can join the army. It has been getting rejected, but he is persistant. When troops-to-be go through the application process they are not asked about homosexuality. Therefore all they have to do is go through a normal application and get approved. I think it is kind of absurd not to allow someone into the army just because of their sexual preference. That would have no effect on their ability to do what they need to.

Men and women have been told they can only be accepted if they are open about their homosexuality. This could possibly not work because the law is still trying to be approved.

Many actions are being taken to approve Don't Ask, Don't Tell. It is being very difficult to get courts to approve of it. Hopefully it will be passed.

These two sources are very similar. They both pretty much have the same view, and talk about the Don't Ask, Don't Tell pollicy.
